Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and the use of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won many prizes and grants. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies and studies on child victims in the legal system. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of several professional organizations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the America Psychological Association's divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
